Why Opusonix, when I already have a system for collaborating on music projects?
For years, collaboration has “worked” because engineers adapted—developing personal systems, workarounds, and habits to compensate for fragmented tools. Opusonix removes that friction at the system level, so the workflow supports you instead of relying on you to hold it together. See why and how Opusonix can help you save time, reduce mental load, and present professionally with your clients.
Do all clients or band members need their own account?
Yes. When you invite someone to join you on a project or an album, the invitation will include key information such as your name, the project title, and a custom message that you write. When they click on the invitation for the first time, they will register through an expedited sign-up process (just their names and preferred password, and then they will be right in your project’s workspace). This is a one-step process that takes less than a minute to complete. It’s completely free, and the invitees do not receive any other emails from us (such as the Opusonix feature updates, etc).
Are your music safe with Opusonix?
Yes! All traffic between you and our platform is secured with HTTPS encryption, keeping your data private in transit. Project details are stored in MongoDB Atlas with built-in security controls, and uploaded files are kept in encrypted, Amazon S3 private storage. When you or collaborators need access, Opusonix generates a presigned, time-limited URL for your files, so that they can only be opened by the right people, for a limited time.
Built for trust. With encrypted connections, private cloud storage, and secure one-time access links, Opusonix keeps your music and project files safe—so you can focus on creating, not worrying about security. We respect your data. Your projects, audio, and comments are never sold, shared, or used to train AI.
What types of audio files are supported?
All commonly used audio files (mp3, wav, m4a, arc, etc) are supported. You can choose to upload compressed or uncompressed audio files. With Opusonix, the project workspaces have a dedicated Files pod, allowing you to upload other miscellaneous files, such as scores, notes, midi files, etc.
Is Opusonix free?
Opusonix has a free tier and a Pro tier. If you sign up for a new account, you’ll get to try Opusonix Pro for free for 7 days, no credit cards needed. For full pricing and feature details, please check out the Pricing page.
